Food Pantries and Support

More than 1 in 10 families in Michigan are food insecure – meaning that they often don’t know how they’ll be able to provide their next meal.

When resources are limited even the most basic food items can seem like an unaffordable luxury. If you need help sourcing food or other resources for your family, find support through these organizations:

  • Abundant health services for community members of all life stages including Maternal & Infant Health, Breastfeeding Assistance, Reproductive & Sexual Health, Immunizations, Hearing & Vision Screening, Children's Special Health Care Services, and Harm Reduction Programs.

  • The Food Pantry, Baby Pantry, and Blessings in a Backpack are a few of the services LCN provides to families in need.

  • Glen Lake Church hosts the Empire Area Food Pantry drive thru providing fresh and non—perishable food assistance every week.
